Pop Star-Labyrinth

Its nonlinear storytelling breaks away from traditional spatial logic, weaving together the physical and the virtual, personal histories, and cultural memories.

Pop Star-Labyrinth aims to create a labyrinthine visual experience, presenting a fragmented and overlapping reflective structure. These mirrored fragments draw viewers into a space where reality and illusion intertwine. The mirror elements skillfully distort and magnify perspectives, challenging our linear and unified modes of perception. In doing so, they reveal the multifaceted complexity of identity and memory. Within the space, our reflections are echoed countless times, juxtaposed and overlapped with the images of others, forming a dynamic visual dialogue.

Through the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and machine learning models, the artist reinterprets significant traces and symbols from everyday life, such as flags and loudspeakers. These elements guide the audience into a dreamlike "neural network" space where personal and cultural data are reconstructed into new visual narratives. Memories, symbols, and imagination are transformed into dynamic visual effects, metaphorically reflecting the multiple narratives that shape our lives.

Memory is no longer static but evolves into a constantly shifting neural dreamscape. As time progresses, memories are gradually distorted, mirroring the way we perceive our own reflections in the world around us. The entire space seems to be in a state of "suspension," with each element in flux — continuously reassembling, fracturing, and reconfiguring, much like the nature of memory itself. This experience provokes both self-awareness and disorientation as visitors find themselves lost amid space and reflections.

Like a three-dimensional digital sketch, AI-generated digital images add new layers to the spatial network. These images, akin to digital brushstrokes, draw from reality while simultaneously reinterpreting it. This poses a profound question: “When our memories and symbols are reshaped by machine intelligence, how will we reimagine ourselves?”

With the interplay of mirrored reflections and the dynamic performances of AI, the installation becomes a multilayered artistic labyrinth. Its nonlinear storytelling breaks away from traditional spatial logic, weaving together the physical and the virtual, personal histories, and cultural memories. The result is a living, immersive art journey. It is a poetic exploration of time, memory, and identity, ultimately converging into a constellation of evolving memories and material fragments.
